National Minority Day

11th August is observed as national minority day in Pakistan remembering the role Pakistani religious minorities played in the development of Pakistan. Sending out a message of love, interfaith harmony and coexistence.
– Perception about Pakistan is that since it was created in the name of religion hence it is only for Muslims and how any religious community other than Muslims either face violence or they are not recognized. Yes, there are some discriminating laws in the constitution and there have been some riots in the past where religious minorities have been targeted. However this still doesn’t mean that only Muslims have served Pakistan. Therefore, I hereby present you list of honorable Christians, Hindus, Sikhs and Parsi people of Pakistan who have served the country with their love and passion. Some of them gave their lives fighting for the country and fighting for their cause.
